So these past couple of days I was on debrief in San Juan del Sur. It was a blast, and a good time to be able to chill and not worry about what people would think if I was loud, or was myself. I really enjoyed swimming in the Pacific Ocean, and getting some sun. but one thing I really liked was a time for prophecy, we wrote what we felt god was telling us, and we had no clue who it was for, we read it aloud the picked a name, and gave it to that person. It was really awesome just to hear God speak to me, in a way I didn’t expect. The prophecy I got was about giving up control of things I have no control of, and just seeking God and see what he has in store for me. It made so much sense because I have been worrying about everything lately. So I just need to let go and let God, as my mom would say.

Dear Garrett, My mom always said the same thing – let go and let God and I have said the same to my kids. There are so many things we can’t control. I have been a mentor to a prisoner in Michigan since 1977. He is up for parole or commutation. He is trying to control all of his supporters and to get all of us to contact each other, and asks us all to do tasks constantly. I understand. If you have been in prison since 1972, and you are sitting in your cell, you have no real control, and keep pushing evryone. He is a Christian, but he seems not to be able to Let o and Let God. I am enjoying your Blog. My grandson Nathaniel is on a ship going around the world to all sorts of not-touristy places like Vietnam and Ghana and North Korea. It
‘s called Semester at Sea, sponsored by the University of Viginia. He goes to college in California. I am enjoyihg both of your blogs, and read them both carefully and with deep interest. Too tired to write in Spanish today. I bet your Spanish is really doing well. I grew up in the San Diego area and I still miss the magnificent Pacific Ocean. This ocean around here is everyone’s ocean, but mine is the Pacific. God Bless. Bettie Magee
